As Avir walked through the Light kingdom with his only herd member, Ivory the rebel mare, he notices a large glistening waterfall. Watching carefully for any signs of danger, he and Ivory advance towards the warm water flowing from the top of the cliff. The pair notice that the sand is clear of any hoofprints. They edged towards the water to look at their rippling reflections in the clear water, which is so clear that even the very bottom of the fairly deep parts could be seen.
Avir explores the area as Ivory remembers the last time she came to this part of the island. It was when she discovered the death of her parents, though she had not seen this part of the territory.
Meanwhile, Avir wanders aimlessly, keeping the waterfall close. The entire surrounding land is beautiful. The grass is a vivid green, and the trees all low to the ground and filled with luscious fruit. Avir shortly realized that this was a royal area of the light kingdom.
Avir galloped back to his herd of one at the falls. He claims the land for himself and his herd. Ivory declines the opportunity to be queen of the land by his side.
"I am not born into the light. I have no right to be queen of anything in this alliance." she claims. Avir left the subject alone, leaving Ivory to mourn the loss of her son.
